詞根 -pens-/-pend- 精講
詞根 -pens-/-pend- 源于英國(guó)貨幣的單位 pence 便士，因此它們的種意思是：錢(qián)。第二種意思是：吊。(記憶小妙招：中國(guó)人喜歡用吊錢(qián)。)
那么三者是如何建立起聯(lián)系的呢?答案是通過(guò)輔音通假字變換。
首先，通過(guò)次音變規(guī)律【z-c-s】，單詞 pence 和 詞根 -pens- 建立聯(lián)系(二者在發(fā)音上也非常相近)。然后又通過(guò)第二次音變規(guī)律【s-th-t-d】，詞根 -pens- 和 詞根 -pend- 建立聯(lián)系，最終搭起了 pence、-pens- 與 -pend- 之間的聯(lián)系。
另外，請(qǐng)同學(xué)們注意區(qū)分：英國(guó)用便士pence;美國(guó)用美分cent，不要弄混哦。
